Cath Kidston for Uniqlo

I was able to drop by Uniqlo in Taipei and was excited to see that they have a collaboration with Cath Kidston. For those who don't know her, Cath Kidston is a designer from London known for her quirky and distinctive floral prints.
Here are a few of her products:

all are priced at 600NT (approx 900php)

Above are all the shirts available in Taipei and what's even better is that it's a charity project for Japanese Organization for International Cooperation in Family Planning (JOICFP). Cath Kidston and Uniqlo will make donations from the net proceeds of sale to fund an initiative supporting a safe motherhood program in Zambia.

And don't you think the prints just scream spring/summer? What designs would you choose?

Taiwan Series: What I Wore

I've decided to do my taiwan trip into several series posts. First up, what i wore the 4 days we were there. It is spring time in Taipei so the weather was between 17-25 degrees, which is a welcome change from our scorching hot summer in Manila.

Day 1
Photobucket
Animal print top ; zippered leggings ; studded flats

Day 2
Photobucket
black jumpsuit; jean & rosz sunnies; jean & rosz necklace; studded flats

Day 3
Photobucket
sheer black top ; floral shorts; green & gold belt ; studded flats

Day 4
Photobucket
taupe blazer; peach laced top; navy paper-bag shorts; studded sandals

I wanted to be comfortable so flats were definitely my choice of footwear. I also took advantage of the nice weather and took my blazer out for a spin since i might not be able to wear it for a while. So what do you guys wear when traveling? :)

Instyle Korea March 2011

How's everyone's long weekend? I went to Taipei for a few days with some friends but that merits a separate post. Stay tuned :) Anyways, a week before our trip i accompanied K to get his monthly haircut and the salon is quite packed that day! Good thing they have the March edition of Instyle Korea (w/c got more than 200 pages!) that kept me company for almost 2 hours. I could not understand it but the pictures were more than enough.

Real People Baubles: Associate Fashion Editor, Kate Paras

I first met her when she pulled out some items from us for Chalk magazine's photoshoot. What stuck to me about her is how much she loves accessories, that's why when we were looking for people to feature she immediately came to mind.

Get to know more of this ever stylish and down-to-earth associate fashion editor of Chalk magazine/stylist, Kate.

Real People Baubles: Credible Chictopian, Dominique Tiu

Ahhhh Chictopia. I never heard of this till last year (for obvious reasons:  1. the age gap  2. for being an anti-techie before this blog was created).  I was personally hooked looking at worldwide sartorial takes of REAL people who have the passion to share personal style.  And then... I found Dominique. A twenty-something stylist, model, marketing specialist and an uprising online icon here in the blogosphere.

We asked Dominique if we could take a peek at her Summer Baubles. She agreed.  But to our surprise, she gave us a material that is sooo post worthy, I am suggesting young fashion/style aspirants to read through.

Today's post is a little bit of everything. From picking the right set of baubles, to collecting bags, make-up musts and a WITTY, HONEST and INSIGHTFUL take on FASHION in general.

"the thing that I learned from fashion is not to foster the atmosphere of "exclusivity." Rather, fashion transcends various industry-imposed stipulations--trends, themes, colors, designs, brands, etc. Because fashion is about expression and story-telling, I've learned that there's no such thing as "bad fashion." Tomorrow, I will let you know how Dominique's definition of fashion somehow made an impact on me.  I will share my thoughts as I think it merits a separate post. I never thought that this post would actually make me stop, think and re-assess why I am still doing this.

For now all I can say is...thank you Dominique for this opportunity. What a way to learn. How I wish blogging was already in when I was your age!
