News: Al Fayed sell Harrods

Who doesn't remember Dondi Al Fayed?  Princess Diana's boyfriend at the time of the tragic accident, where they both didn't make it.  Their family owned Harrods department store, probably the biggest and most iconic shopping store in London.

For over 25 years, the Al Fayed family owned the business.  Mohamed Al Fayed, 81 years old finally sold the Harrods to Qatar Holding for an estimated 1.5 billion pounds (approx. $2.22 billion) over the weekend.

Currently, with no successors out of 4 children,  Al Fayed has decided to just retire, despite his willingness to bring this legacy with him till death.

Who knows what's next for Harrods.  For now, Harrods is still Harrods.  and shopping there will always be an experience :)
